How you can help.

Our work wouldn't be possible without our volunteers. We have volunteers who give their time to supervise and assist during full school hours, and we have those who drop in merely to read to the kids or lead a devotion for 30 minutes to an hour.

There are opportunities for all ages, skill sets, and levels of experience. Our volunteers are required to meet only one criterion: they love God and desire to share His love with our students.

Here are some areas we are currently seeking assistance:

The tutor will work with students from elementary through high school, providing personalized support across various math levels. Ideal candidates are passionate about education, adaptable, and committed to fostering both academic and spiritual growth.
This role involves overseeing sports programs for students from elementary through high school, with a focus on promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and Christian principles. We're looking for someone who is energetic, organized, and eager to inspire both athletic excellence and strong character in our students.
Do you have a heart to serve others through food? Meal items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks are always welcome and appreciated! IDEAS for how to serve in this way:
- A home-cooked or store-bought meal
- Healthy (ish!) snacks—could be fruit, pre-packaged items, homemade snack items, etc… Some sugar is okay, but we are working hard to not overdo it this year. :)
- Teach the kids how to cook one of your favorite meals. Then join us for lunch to eat it!
- How often? On a monthly, weekly, or as often as you feel lead to basis!
Do you have a particular skill, talent, or knowledge base you’d like to share or teach? These might include, but are not limited to:
- Art
- Music
- Business or Entrepreneurship
- Computer + Technology (E.g.: Typing instruction, Microsoft Office/ 365 tutorials, etc.)
- Budgeting/ finances for teens
- “Hands on” Tutorials such as: home & vehicle maintenance, landscaping, carpentry/ contractor skills
- Foreign Languages
- Nutrition/ Exercise/ Weightlifting
- Come for an hour and share about your faith journey, particular career, hobby, or passion!
- & MORE!… The opportunities are endless!
Are you passionate about or love a certain subject? We are looking for one-on-one tutors to work with our kids, whose ages range from 8-18. Their school work encompasses Elementary, Middle School, and High School subjects. If you are more comfortable with a certain age group, we will do our best to accommodate that!
IDEAS for how to serve in this way:
- Math tutor (ranging from basic math skills- up to Geometry and Algebra II)
- English/ Reading/ Language Arts tutor
- Time frames are approximately 1 hour at a time

The Bountiful Place Dress Code

Our objective in establishing a home-like, yet conservative dress code is to allow our volunteers to play, teach and interact comfortably and modestly with the students who attend The Bountiful Place. Clothing that is tight-fitting, revealing, or made with see-through fabrics is not allowed. Clothing must fit at the waist when standing, walking, or running. Shorts and skirts must reach the top of the knee. All clothing must be free of rips and holes above the knee. No leggings or spandex pants will be allowed unless worn under a skirt or shorts that meet the required length. No dress code can cover all contingencies so volunteers must exert a certain amount of judgment in their choice of clothing to wear to The Bountiful Place. If you experience uncertainty about acceptable attire, please ask one of the Bountiful Place Directors.

The Bountiful Place Statement of Faith:

We believe in the one true God—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in John 3:16, that God loved the world so much that He sent His own Son, Jesus, to rescue us from sin and the death that separates us from God forever. If we confess we are sinners and believe that Jesus is our salvation, we will be a child of God and enjoy eternal life in heaven—God’s perfect home prepared for those who believe. We believe that the Bible is God’s Holy Word and, therefore, is the foundation of everything we strive to teach the children at The Bountiful Place. We believe that children are gifts from God and that they deserve love, nurturing, and guidance to become exactly who God wants them to be.

Volunteer Agreement

I have read The Bountiful Place Dress Code for volunteers and commit to abide by it. I agree to keep all information pertaining to Bountiful Place students confidential. I will continue to keep this information confidential even after I am no longer serving as a volunteer at The Bountiful Place. I agree to uphold all policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors of The Bountiful Place. I accept responsibility to act as a mentor and friend to the children under my care; to give them my attention, emotional support, and spiritual guidance.
